Salmon and the Cowichan people

Our Cultural teachers Stuart and Mr. Anderton

came to our class to teach about the importance of

Salmon to the Cowichan people.

The day before our class, Stuart went to the river to spear a salmon.

He brought it to our class to show us how he prepares the salmon for smoking.

These are the traditions of the Cowichan People.
